May 13, 2014
From David Del Valle in Madrid
RTVE’s VoD service ‘red button’ is increasing in popularity in Spain, with 700,000 homes already using it since its launch eight months ago.
The service distributes over 90,000 hours of content on RTVE a la Carte, offering the main news and current affairs with access to news programmes, sports, and children programming, along with the TVE’s website content with some extra content.
The content is available through a set of HbbTV services constantly available to the users and also via the live broadcasting of extra interactive contents
To gain access to the service, users have to press the red button on their remote control to watch the content through a Smart TV.
