Viewster brings UK-Based UCMMA to its global audience
April 30, 2013
Viewster, a free service for ‘on demand’ movies and TV series, has charged into the MMA arena, announcing a deal with Ultimate Challenge Mixed Martial Arts (UCMMA), a mixed martial fights promotion in the UK. The new deal allows UCMMA enthusiasts to watch the high-octane action previously shown exclusively on pay-per-view basis, now ad-funded and for free – only through Viewster. Ten recent title fights, or more than 48 hours watching, are already released as well as upcoming fights continually being added throughout the year as they become available.
UCMMA has partnered with Viewster to finally offer its fans a viable alternative to premium streaming services showcasing MMA content. UCMMA Founder, Dave O’Donnell expects the news to be a big hit with new and existing fans, commenting, “There is never a dull moment in the world of mixed martial arts and we are proud to partner with Viewster to bring this high-octane sport to our loyal fans and reach a much wider audience across the globe. Viewster’s service opens up this exciting footage to a mainstream audience and gives the viewing public access to the content they want, when they want it.”
“It’s great to be able to offer sports fans instant access to UCMMA titles for free for the first time,” says Kai Henniges, CEO of Viewster. “With sports, film and TV fans alike demanding anytime access to their favorite shows, we’re seeing month-on-month growth across our service, showing that consumers want an alternative to appointment viewing on the TV.”
