UK cable MSO Virgin Media’s upgraded set-top box – dubbed V6 – looks set to be unveiled on November 30th.
Early details of the STB, anticipated to be UHD-compatible to match devices already released by rivals Sky and BT, were revealed in a Tweet in the summer, which said: “Sneak Preview: Say hello to our new Virgin TV V6 box, powered by TiVo. More to come soon.”
A media invitation asks recipients to join Virgin Media on that date “for a first look at something unmissable”.
