Shark Week adds VR content

Shark Week, Discovery Channel’s annual block of television content dedicated totally to sharks, will this year be adding virtual reality (VR) content into the mix.
The VR experience will give shark enthusiasts in the US the same perspective as several of the filmmakers behind the shows that make Shark Week, and will also include an augmented reality experience wheres viewers can swim with and learn about sharks and unlock geo-based experiences and games when visiting events across the US.
The VR and 360-video content will also be available on Facebook and YouTube.
Shark Week commences on June 26th.
