Bloomberg TV ends Indian partnership

Bloomberg says that its Indian licensing agreement with Mumbai-based Business Broadcast News (BBN) will come to an end on March 31st. BBN is part of the Reliance Group and local entrepreneur Ronnie Screwvala’s media operation.
The link has been in place for 7 years, and both parties say they will now develop independent strategies. Bloomberg TV India had distribution to some 30 million Indian homes.
Business Broadcast News will hold onto the distribution channel but will re-brand the service on April st1.
Bloomberg, reportedly, will announce a new media partner soon.
