Canal+, Canalsat going HD only

The Canal+ and Canalsat TV channels will all go all HD on July 1st, with 80 channels carried in native HD at first. The dual SD and HD broadcasts will cease.
The sixty networks like France 3 which will not meet Canalsat’s HD timeline next month will be up-scaled to HD. All the channels will be broadcast in Dolby Digital 2.0 and 23 of them in Dolby Digital 5.1.
The free TNTSat dish bouquet, which is marketed by Canal+ group, will also switch to HD, with inititally 22 channels out of 25. The dual SD/HD broadcasts will remain until Spring 2016.
