Food Network HD for Russia
October 22, 2014
The DMC has confirmed the launch of Food Network HD in Russia for Scripps Networks International.
The launch of the Food Network channel into Russia is an extension of existing services of the channel to the EMEA region which is already handled by the DMC. All content, media handling and playout for the EMEA channel will be duplicated for the feed to Russia and delivered initially via T12, moving to fibre by the end of 2014.
Jon Sichel, Managing Director UK & EMEA at Scripps Networks International, said, “We are proud to further our partnership with the DMC to launch the Food Network channel into Russia. Scripps Networks is always looking to expand our reach into new markets and to bring our highly popular lifestyle content to new audiences. The DMC has proven to be a trusted partner for our pan regional channels so it made sense to work with them on offering our channel into Russia.”
