Fox International Channels (FIC) confirms that it has received approval from the Irish Competition Authority to complete the acquisition of Setanta Africa Services, a sports channel bouquet broadcast to over one million homes throughout sub-Saharan Africa. The acquisition is now closed, with FIC holding a 100 per cent stake in the acquired company.
Setanta Africa Services broadcasts three sports channels: Setanta Africa, which is available in English and French; Zuku Sports HD in East Africa; and the recently launched Setanta Action. The channels cover football leagues from around the world, rugby, mixed martial arts and other major sporting events.
