French cable operator Numericable has signed 216,000 subscribers to its LaBox Fibre and has passed 700,000 customers with fibre out of 1.65 million customers, a 40 per cent penetration.

Broadband Internet subs grew 11 per cent Year on Year to 1.322 million. First half revenues grew 3.8 per cent to €453 million whilst operating profit was €230 million.

Numericable intends to extend its fibre deployment across the entire French territory where nearly 5 million homes are already passed out of a total of a potential 9.8 million.
