KC Global Media, Rein Entertainment expand production partnership
November 25, 2025
KC Global Media and Rein Entertainment are expanding their ongoing creative partnership with the announcement of a five-title co-production slate currently in development for 2026 and 2027.
This new chapter in collaboration solidifies a long-term commitment between the two companies, building on the success of their six-part series Drug War: A Conspiracy of Silence, which premiered at the ContentAsia Summit earlier this year and generated strong interest and enthusiastic response worldwide.
The two companies will kick off their new collaboration with their first original intellectual property, Dose. A stylised, high-stakes crime drama that brings together two different worlds, Dose will be an eight-episode series centered on two powerful women: a rising triad queenpin and a relentless international police agent. Forced into a tense alliance, they confront corrupt cops, ruthless mobsters, and violent enforcers. What begins as a mission for justice and revenge explodes into a savage battle for survival and power in a brutal, male-dominated criminal empire.
“This slate marks an exciting new chapter in our partnership with Rein Entertainment, as we double down on bold, globally resonant storytelling from Asia,” commented Bonnie Wiryani, Vice President, Revenue & Head of Content Sales, KC Global Media Distribution. “We are proud to champion talented creatives and provide a platform to showcase their stories. Rein Entertainment brings deep regional insight and a track record of powerful, socially relevant narratives, which aligns with KC Global Media’s strength in premium content curation and international distribution. With titles like Dose, we’re investing in character-driven originals that challenge genre conventions and spotlight powerful female leads. This series also presents opportunities to develop remakes, prequels and sequels.”
“We’re proud to expand our creative synergy with KC Global Media on this new slate,” added Lino S. Cayetano, President and CEO of Rein Entertainment. “Their vast international reach and expertise in elevating Asian stories for global platforms make them an ideal partner. Together, we look forward to creating more content that reflects the dynamic voices and visions emerging from the region, and we’re thrilled to bring them to international audiences.”
