Krempelwood appoints Underhill as Business Development Director
November 13, 2025
Krempelwood, the UK-based international television programme finance company, has announced the appointment of Nick Underhill as Business Development Director.
In this newly created role, Underhill will play a key role in Krempelwood’s growth strategy, developing alternative finance models and investment opportunities across any and all forms of content from inception to distribution. The appointment reflects Krempelwood’s ambition to meet financing demand for all types of content both domestically and internationally.
“The Business Development Director role acknowledges that we’re eager to build on the success of our programme finance model that has proved hugely popular with broadcasters and producers alike” said Krempelwood founders Blair Krempel and Mark Wood. “It’s a pleasure to welcome Nick to the team at this time of great change in our industry and the opportunities that the creator economy presents. His skills and experience will broaden our capability to develop new scalable partnerships and identify clear opportunities for growth and diversification.”
Underhill brings extensive experience in television and digital content strategy. He previously served as Managing Director at Flicker Productions, where he oversaw the company’s growth into an award-winning independent producer, earning accolades including Small and Emerging Indie of the Year, a BAFTA, and multiple Best Place to Work awards during his nine-year tenure. Prior to that, he held senior roles as Head of Digital at Keo Films and Digital Strategy Executive at PACT, the UK’s trade association for independent producers.
Underhill said: “Working with Blair and Mark in this new role, which extends Krempelwood’s innovative finance model into new areas, is incredibly exciting. The company has built a trusted reputation for helping producers and broadcasters bring ambitious television projects to life, and I’m thrilled to help evolve that success into new forms of content and into emerging markets. Building scalable partnerships, exploring international opportunities, and developing new routes for creative and commercial growth is a dream brief — and I can’t wait to get started.”
