LoveFilm to stream Disney movies
April 19, 2011
LoveFilm, the UK DVD and online video rental business, has confirmed a deal to stream Disney films. LoveFilm subscribers will be able to watch more than 50 Disney titles.
The company will also make new releases available to non-members around five months after their box office premiere for between £2.49 (€2.84) and £3.49 a film.
This is the first major content deal LoveFilm has announced since it was bought outright by Amazon in January.
LoveFilm, which claims some 1.6 million customers in the UK and Europe, has existing partnerships with film studios including MGM, Momentum and Warner Bros, and already offers Disney films for DVD rental.
