OneWeb’s first satellites to launch Feb 26

OneWeb, which wants to populate the planet with an initial 600 broadband satellites, will launch its first batch of 6 satellites on February 26th.
The slippage of just a few days from the original February 19th plan was explained by founder Greg Wyler, saying: “This is new territory launching so many autonomous spacecraft, and they were factory built. Two firsts, so we are moving carefully in every way. A few days here or there to double check rockets, routines and process is ok by me,” he wrote on Twitter.
The launch will take place aboard a Russian Soyuz rocket but handled by Arianespace from its Kourou, French Guiana spaceport.
