Movistar Plus breaks into Costa Rica
January 11, 2018
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Telefónica’s pay-TV platform Movistar Plus has launched two packages in Costa Rica; a basic package with 15 HD channels and 54 SD, and the premium with 25 HD channels and content from HBO and Fox.
The service may be received via (DTH) satellite or through a hybrid STB, with subscribers soon being able to access via OTT and VoD through Movistar Play.
With the launch, Telefónica will compete with Sky and Claro in the country as it aims to strengthen its presence in Latin America.
