Finland: DNA adds Viasat Ultra HD
September 14, 2017
DNA has become the first operator in Finland to broadcast the Viasat Ultra HD channel via its cable TV network. The 4K sports channel is available to all DNA cable TV network customers who have subscribed to one of the Viasat sports packages and have a 4K-ready receiver.
Viasat Ultra HD is added automatically to the packages of current subscribers, and is included in all new subscriptions. The channel will initially be available on DNA’s cable TV network for a trial period of six months, after which DNA will make a decision on its future based on issues such as customer feedback.
“It is a fantastic experience to watch sports in 4K Ultra HD resolution, and Viasat Ultra HD is an extremely welcome addition to our offering. A large number of households connected to our cable TV network already have a 4K Ultra HD television. I believe that Viasat Ultra HD will become one of the favourite channels of sports fans who also value great picture quality,” says Mikko Saarentaus, Director at DNA’s Entertainment Business.
