The 39th annual Royal Rumble is set to be one of the biggest in WWE’s history. Taking place on January 31st at KAFD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, it will mark the first traditional Royal Rumble held outside North America. British and Irish Netflix subscribers can watch the historic event live from 7pm GMT as The Road to WrestleMania begins.

Royal Rumble is a unique match format, featuring 30 competitors aiming to eliminate each other in one match. Starting with two Superstars in the ring, new contenders enter at regularly timed intervals until 30 have entered the ring. A Superstar is eliminated if they are thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor outside the ring. The winner is the last person standing, who is rewarded with a spot to compete in a Championship match of their choice at WrestleMania.

Previous Royal Rumble winners have included many notable WWE Hall-Of-Famers, including the likes of Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rey Mysterio, Batista, Edge and HHH.

The Premium Live Event will feature both Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble match-ups, as well as a card featuring Drew McIntyre (c) vs Sami Zayn in a singles match for the Undisputed WWE Championship, and AJ Styles vs Gunther which will see AJ Styles retire from the WWE should he lose.
