Mometu expands Korean collection
November 25, 2025
North American free streaming platform Mometu has expanded its catalogue of Korean cinema. Leading the new additions is Kim Ki-duk’s The Isle, the festival standout that cemented the late filmmaker as a defining voice of Korean arthouse cinema. Also joining the lineup is crime thriller Beasts Clawing at Straws, featuring Academy Award winner Youn Yuh-jung, and recently-released action drama The Firefighters.
The latest acquisitions build on Mometu’s existing Korean collection, which already includes crime drama The Policeman’s Lineage starring Choi Woo-shik, indie dramedy Lucky Chan-sil—also featuring Youn Yuh-jung—and cult gems such as An Experience to Die For and the rediscovered horror favoirite Suddenly in the Dark.
“Korean content is now the most popular non-English content globally, and we’re focused on making acclaimed and hard-to-find titles accessible to everyone,” said Mometu President, Bryan Louzil. “This latest lineup showcases the depth, creativity, and influence of Korean cinema, whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering it.”
