Katherine Ryan’s Christmas Intervention podcast on Audible
November 13, 2025
Audible, the specialist in spoken-word entertainment, has announced a new Audible Original podcast, Katherine Ryan’s Christmas Intervention, presented by the comedian alongside her family in a series that is part seasonal survival guide, part family therapy session.
In this new Audible Original podcast, Ryan sits down with her husband Bobby and daughter Violet to dig into their most memorable Christmas disasters and brainstorm some solutions to not just survive the season but actually enjoy it. That’s if they manage to agree on literally anything.
Together, they discuss everything from gift pressure, food squabbles, travel nightmares and share their own previous Christmas disasters including a massive Christmas family feud and that one special year of aggressive gastric flu. Along the way they’ll be joined by celebrity guests, Ryan’s own personal Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, to share their holiday blunders and ideas to help Christmas clean up its act.
Guests include fellow comedians Sindhu Vee, Josh Widdicombe, Tom Allen, Sara Pascoe, Nick Mohammad and Fatiha El-Ghorri. As well as other familiar faces such as Larry Lamb, Anna Williamson, Bryony Gordon and more.
Ryan commented: “I love the holidays, but they can be chaotic, overwhelming and no one can agree on how to do it right. Least of all my extended family, many of who I no longer talk to thanks to Christmas feuding – festive! So, I’ve forced my household together, as well as a whole lot of my friends, to try and find a better way. Whilst I’m at it I’m hoping I can convince my daughter that ‘festive spirit’ means more than just pumpkin spice lattes at the mall, and talk my husband Bobby down from trying to replace the Christmas meal with spaghetti. I had so much fun recording this Audible series and hope listeners enjoy and can relate to my wild family Christmas stories.”
