Tipping launches Longwave Studios
November 5, 2025
Industry veteran Danny Tipping has launched Longwave Studios, a new documentary production studio focusing on premium factual content driven by a passion for powerful storytelling and built on a proven track record in the unscripted sector.
Longwave Studios has also announced a new true crime documentary The Bodies on the Bridge (2 x 60’ ) for Crime+Investigation, commissioned by Dan Korn, VP Programming, Hearst Networks, with Diana Carter, Commissioning Editor and Head of Talent, as Executive Producer for the series. The commission is a co-production with Krempelwood and will be distributed internationally by Blue Ant Rights.
Currently in production, the 2-part doc special tells the tragic and bizarre story of the 2024 murders, in West London, of Albert Alfonso and Paul Letchworth by Yostin Mosquera and the killer’s thwarted attempts to dispose of his victim’s bodies on the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol.
Dan Korn said: “We’re thrilled to be working with the great team at Longwave Studios on their inaugural production – a traumatic yet important story about the sinister workings of the dark web and sex tourism, and the excellent work of two police forces in bringing the perpetrator to justice.”
Headquartered in London, Longwave Studios focuses on creating factual content for the global TV market across all unscripted genres – from hard-hitting investigative series, factual entertainment formats, through to beautifully crafted human stories. Harnessing the creativity of Longwave’s highly-talented team of producers and creatives, the prodco brings decades of collective experience to the fore with their prolific slate earning critical acclaim across major networks and platforms such as NETFLIX, Paramount, SKY, Discovery, ABC, Oxygen and more.
Joining Tipping at Longwave Studios are former Transistor Film’s Exec Ned Parker, Head of Factual, and Development Executive, Charlie Wakefield.
Tipping said: “The team at Longwave have forged a great reputation for creating outstanding documentaries for our commissioning partners around the world and we are continuing that work under our new banner. To be in a position to announce a new commission at launch, we feel is testament to the excellent broadcaster relationships we have built up over the years and we’re very grateful for that continued support.”
Tipping is a well-established TV producer with a career that spans over 25 years in the factual television industry. Prior to launching Longwave Studios, he was CEO of Transistor Films, an unscripted production company under the Sky Studios umbrella, delivering series such as I Am A Killer, which became a Global Top 10 series for NETFLIX upon launch. Danny originally entered the industry working for Channel 4 (UK) and over the years, held senior positions at Discovery Networks International and Sky – overseeing the production and development of hundreds of hours of ratings winning programming.
