FilmRise acquires Canadian distribution rights to Fatal Vows, Versailles

New York, NY – July 17, 2025 – FilmRise, A Radial Entertainment company, has announced the acquisition of exclusive Canadian digital distribution rights to two celebrated series, Fatal Vows and Versailles. This announcement was made by Jonitha Keymoore, Senior Vice-President of Content Acquisitions at Radial Entertainment.
Fatal Vows captivates viewers with its gripping exploration of troubled marriages and their often-tragic outcomes. Featuring seven seasons (88 episodes, 60 minutes each), the true-crime documentary series gained prominence on Investigation Discovery for its compelling storytelling. Guided by Brian Russell, an attorney and forensic and clinical psychologist, alongside Stacy Kaiser, a licensed psychotherapist and relationship expert, the series dives deep into emotional and psychological complexities, earning widespread acclaim for its engaging narratives.
Versailles, a majestic historical drama spanning 3 seasons (30 episodes, 60 minutes each), offers a vivid portrayal of France’s King Louis XIV and his ambitious endeavor to construct the iconic Palace of Versailles. The series is renowned for its breathtaking cinematography, historical accuracy, and captivating performances. Lauded as one of the most ambitious European productions of its time, Versailles has set a benchmark for period dramas with its masterful direction and artistry.

The acquisition of Fatal Vows was negotiated by Lily Schaer, Content Acquisitions Manager at Radial and Xiaojuan Zhou at Attraction International Distribution, and the Versailles deal was negotiated by Lily Schaer at Radial and Effi Eustace at Incendo Media.
