Freeform Group has announced the creation of a new production label Double FTV. The label is led by A Place in the Sun Executive Producer Michelle Heeley who will take on additional duties as Double FTV’s Creative Director.

Freeform Productions will continue to produce A Place in the Sun for Channel 4, while Double FTV will create new original factual and factual entertainment formats.

The new company launches with two new commissions: a 15-part series for Channel 4, Jasmine’s Renovation in the Sun, and a four part prime-time Channel 5 commission, Bomb Squad: Trigger Point. The label will also make content for The One Show on BBC One.

Heeley commented: “We are hugely excited to launch Double FTV. We believe Double FTV will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering high quality content that entertains, informs, and inspires audiences with double the humour, double the heart, and double the originality.”
