Drone Racing League on Pluto TV

The Extreme Sports Channel, available via Pluto TV, is adding the Drone Racing League to its roster of content.
The Drone Racing League (DRL) is the world’s first professional drone racing series. Combining innovative technology and immersive drone racing, DRL creates a new era of competition in both real life and virtual simulation and metaverse. The DRL starts broadcasting on UK television on September 5th only on Extreme Channel – and will subsequently be shown at 8pm Tuesdays and Thursdays with repeat back to back episodes on Sundays at 8pm.
The Drone Racing League will see 12 of the world’s best pilots race custom-built drones at around 140 km/h through a number of courses – both physical and virtual. The drones are equipped with cameras that feed a live feed into the pilots’ first-person view (FPV) goggles, making it feel like they’re flying inside a drone. The goal of the pilots is to cover a complicated air route in the shortest possible time. The competition takes place in locations such as sports stadiums, historic palaces and iconic museums around the world – as well as virtually in DRL SIM, a real drone racing video game available for download on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam and Epic Games.
