Major fire at Nilesat HQ
November 16, 2021
By Chris Forrester
There was a major fire on November 15th near one of the Nilesat buildings near Cairo’s Media Production City. Six fire trucks and their crews fought the fire.
Experts said that a heavy-duty transformer had caught fire although power to the satellite section of Nilesat was reportedly not affected.
An inspection proved that the fire would not affect the Media Production City or the Nilesat area. There are four power transformers used in the lighting process interchangeably, and only one is damaged.
