Inmarsat takes on Dutch government

The Netherlands wishes to auction off certain 3.5 GHz spectrum for re-use for 5G capacity. However, Inmarsat is objecting and taking the Dutch government to court and is seeking an injunction to stop the process.
There was a hearing scheduled for May 11th before a District Court in The Hague but the action was suspended because the government published its National Frequency Plan on April 30th.
If the Dutch government goes ahead then Inmarsat will have to relocate an Earth station it has in the north of the country at Burum.
The Netherlands says that it wants to release the 3.5 GHz spectrum promptly and auction the spectrum for 5G use by September 2022.
