From Pascale Paoli-Lebailly in Paris
French telco Orange has informed its fibre customers equipped with a TV 4 set top box and subscribing to beIN Sports that they are now able to watch one French Ligue 1 football match each week in 4K.
Following TF1 and beIN Sports’ World Cup 4K broadcasts, French top-flight football matches will be delivered in UHD every Sunday on the beIN Sports 4K channel.
Subscribers owning a compatible TV set have been able to follow the first match last Sunday when Bordeaux’s Girondins took on Nîmes Olympique.
Canal+ and beIN are sharing the broadcast rights to the French Ligue 1 until 2020.
