Chambers Chairman Emeritus at Cisco

Cisco’s executive chairman John Chambers has said he will be stepping down from his position from December 11th, when his term ends. Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins will then also serve as chairman. Chambers will be given the honorary title of Chairman Emeritus.
Chambers joined the company in 1991 as head of sales. He became CEO in January 1995 and served in that position until end July 2015. During his time as CEO, Cisco annual revenues went from $1.2 billion to nearly $50 billion. When Chambers became executive chairman in 2015, Robbins took over the reins as CEO.
