Virgin TV adds Brit Asia TV
June 30, 2017
Virgin TV has increased its Asian channel line-up by launching Brit Asia TV on its platform. Viewers can now watch Brit Asia TV on channel 840 and enjoy original programming that celebrates the achievements of the British Asian community in music, politics, art and fashion.
The station also broadcasts documentaries, entertainment shows, and live music sessions, showcasing the best of British-born Asian talent.
Brit Asia TV is now one of 11 Asian channels Virgin TV customers on the ‘Mix’ package. It follows the launch of Islam Channel UK and Islam Channel Urdu earlier this month.
David Bouchier, Virgin TV’s Chief Digital Entertainment Officer, said: “With Brit Asia TV joining our growing Asian channel line-up, Virgin TV customers have got the pick of the best Asian programming. This forms part of our plans to offer greater choice and variety for our Asian customers, and we are always looking at ways to extend this programming offer even further in the future.”
Tony Shergill, CEO of Brit Asia TV, added: “We are proud to announce that Brit Asia TV will be launching on Virgin TV. As we have a lot of exciting projects planned for the channel, we thought it was right to progress and launch our channel on Virgin TV.”
