Tivùsat adds Arte to FTA

Franco-German cultural channel Arte has been added to Italy’s growing Tivùsat free-to-view bouquet.
Tivùsat, which had 2.2 million issued smart-card ‘subscribers’ as at July 31st, up 100,000 in the three months to July. Tivùsat launched five years ago, and offers 68 ‘free’ TV channels including the complete output from public broadcaster RAI and the free-to-air channels from Mediaset. Tivùsat also transmits 32 national and international radio stations.
The Arte channel will transmit in French and German languages.
