Russia suffers ABS-2 outage

Russian regional ISP Alliance Telecom, based in Vladivostok, announced that its pay-TV subscribers face problems accessing some TV channels due to an “accident” on the ABS-2 satellite.
The list contains over 50 TV channels, both Russian and global, including Sony Sci-Fi, National Geographic Сhannel, Fox life, Fashion TV, Eurosport, Discovery Channel, Da Vinci Learning, Animal Planet, Cartoon Network, Comedy TV, RU TV, Viasat Explorer, Viasat Nature, Viasat Sport, Viasat History, Extreme sports, Nat Geo Wild and others.
ABS-2 was launched only in February and built by Space Systems/Loral. There has been no statement from ABS which has not responded to questions.
