Israel’s HOT raises prices
January 20, 2014
By Chris Forrester
Israeli cable operator HOT has put prices up for its 600,000 subscribers. Everyone will pay another 3 per cent for basic subscription packages. However, the operator says this keeps prices in line with inflation and the local Consumer Price Index.
HOT is also increasing charges for its VoD service. HOT currently levies ILS25 per month to access VoD content, and this rises by an additional ILS4.90 to ILS29.90.
The company anticipates earning an extra ILS3 million by means of these charges.
