General Satellite “3DV” channel
May 25, 2010
General Satellite Corporation has presented a demonstration of their recent 3D projects and announced the launch of their own 3DV Channel. It will be available on Eurobird 9A to subscribers of certain packages.
The channel will specialise in culture and travel content, produced and transmitted in stereoscopic 3D. Seventy hours of new content will be produced by the end of the year. A series of performances by the Mariinsky theatre will also be produced and this partnership will play an important role in the production plans of the channel.
The new 3DV channel can be watched in a 3D format using the specifically modified digital satellite receiver HD-9300, which has built-in control systems middleware (CSMW) for operator functioning GS 3.0, developed by the General Satellite Corporation.
