Carphone IPTV venture?
July 29, 2009
Europe’s biggest mobile phone retailer, Carphone Warehouse, has said it was on track to meet its full-year targets and aimed to split its TalkTalk telecoms business from its Best Buy Europe retail venture in March.
There is also a potential foray into an IPTV service, which the company is considering following the acquisition of Tiscali, which had its own IPTV business that could be expanded. “We’ve no intention of becoming a broadcaster,” the company said “How we deliver content to our customers in an optimal way” will be decided in coming months."
