Babelgum flash
March 20, 2009
Independent Web TV service Babelgum has released a new version of its mobile video application in the US, UK and Italy and simultaneously launched a redesigned website with a Flash-based player, offering, it says, one of the first fully integrated video mobile and web user experiences.
Babelgum mobile has already experienced success in the UK and Italy with, respectively, 30 and 25 per cent of each country's iPhone users.
The new, free-to-use mobile application is now available for download on iPhone and iPod Touch devices. The Babelgum mobile application can be used in 3G and Wi-Fi mode. The application will gradually extend to Blackberry Storm, Samsung Omnia and Nokia N97 and 5800 handsets. With these new releases Babelgum will be available on all major touchscreen phones and mobile operating systems including Apple mobile OS, Symbian, Android, Rim and Windows Mobile, covering most of the smartphone 3G global market.
