Tiscali sells to BS
February 5, 2009
Milan based BS Private Equity and BS Investimenti are to acquire Tiscali’s international network business for E47 million.
Parent group Tiscali has been in play for much of the last year, with BSkyB still believed to be in negotiations regarding the purchase of its UK activities with a price tag of up to £500 million. Others to have been linked with the sale include Vodafone, BT, Wind and Italy’s Fastweb, while Carphone Warehouse was said to have revitalised its interest last September after pulling out of the auction earlier in the year.
Tiscali International Network supplies Internet connectivity on three continents and had EBITDA of E10 million on sales of E35 million in 2008.
