Cellfish acquires bust OTT TeVolution
March 16, 2016
From Pascale Paoli-Lebailly in Paris
Cellfish, the French digital media company, has bought bankrupt OTT TV service TeVolution to accelerate its multi-screen proposition.
Cellfish operates into 10 countries (including Germany, Meicon, France and Australia) in several sectors: music (with Hitster), video (with Tiny Kids), and games and personalised mobile services.
Launched in 2012, TeVolution, which offers access to DTT channels and a selection of pay-TV channels, as well as catch-up, VoD and SVoD services, went into liquidation last December, but was authorised to maintain activities.
Following the takeover, TeVolution CEO Raphaël Porte will join Cellfish as VP Business Development and Sales. He will evolve the TeVolution offer in France and on the international market.
