Thuland is named MD of Monster in Norway

Fremantle has announced the appointment of Agnete Thuland to Managing Director of Monster in Norway. Thuland joins Monster from Strix Television, where she has held the position of Chief Operating Officer. In her new role she brings more than 20 years of experience from Norwegian and international television production.

Thuland has an extensive production background and has held key leadership roles within the media industry, including a producer at Rubicon TV and Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). Her experience spans a wide range of genres, including entertainment, reality, documentary and drama series.

Following Thuland’s promotion Cecilie Sjølett will be appointed COO at Strix.Agnete’s appointment follows the departure of Eva Rolland Korshamm who has stepped downf rom her role at Monster after more than 22 years. Korshamn has been a central part of Monster since she joined and during her tenure has played a key role in developing, producing and leading a broad slate of Monster’s productions, contributing significantly to the company’s creative and commercial success. In 2018, Korshamn was appointed Head of Non-Scripted, and for the past two years she has served as the senior leader of Monster, with overall responsibility for both the scripted and non-scripted businesses.
