Amazon’s Project Kuiper plans to see its next batch of broadband satellites launched on October 8th, subject to the usual weather limitations. The launch will be handled by SpaceX on one of its Falcon 9 rockets. 24 satellites will be carried to low Earth orbit.
The launch, dubbed KF-03, will use the Falcon 9’s first stage booster, tail number B1091, launching for a second time, and is expected to land on the drone ship, ‘Just Read the Instructions’, positioned in the Atlantic Ocean. The launch has been delayed twice, from October 3rd-4th and again from October 6th-7th.
As at late September 2025, there have been 129 Project Kuiper satellites launched by Amazon, consisting of the first batch of 27 satellites launched in April 2025 and two additional batches of 27 and 75 satellites in June and September respectively. These launches are part of the initial deployment of Amazon’s satellite constellation for its Project Kuiper internet service.
This next launch will take that total to 153 satellite in orbit.
