Bank: AST SpaceMobile will orbit 356 satellites by 2030
February 18, 2026
A report from the investment arm of Deutsche Bank says that would-be global cellular connectivity operator AST SpaceMobile is expected to have 356 satellites orbiting the planet by the end of this decade. It currently has six in orbit.
The bank says there will be at least 45 launches this year, with annual launches increasing to around 110 by 2030.
The dual use case – consumer via their telco partners as well as government – will see significant demand for multiple constellations by governments around the world on top of global demand.
Analysts expect 2026 revenue around $255 million (€215.4bn), driven by the launch of service. Long-term, projections suggest massive revenue scaling as the company targets 5 billion potential users.
