waipu.tv has announced a content partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment Germany. As part of the deal, waipu.tv is bringing three new channels to the platform. The channels – Retro Universe, Series Universe and Movies Universe – present a range of content spanning different genres and eras in HD from the Sony Pictures catalogue.

“Sony Pictures stands for quality and diversity and is an important content partner for waipu.tv. In the coming weeks, we will expand the range of further content and thus continuously offer our customers new premium content,” commented Michael Marberg, Head of New-TV Partnerships at waipu.tv.

The new channels are available to all waipu.tv customers. In addition, the content is available via the waiputhek. With the new partnership, waipu.tv said it continues to expand its position as the largest platform for HD television in the German market.
