yes Studios and ChaiFlicks extend relationship

February 5, 2026

yes Studios has kicked off its 2026 deal-making by extending its long-running partnership with ChaiFlicks, the streaming platform dedicated to Jewish content from around the globe.

A recently concluded package sees three series licensed to the streamer: On the Spectrum, The Chef Season 2 and Checkout Season 5. These titles join a wide range of existing yes Studios programming on ChaiFlicks, including the global hit sensation Shtisel, Unsilenced, Fire Dance and Just for Today.

Season 2 of The Chef (9 x 40), created by Erez Kavel and Orit Dabush, is due to launch exclusively on ChaiFlicks this month. The new season continues the drama, set in the high-pressure environment of a top restaurant kitchen, by following the ongoing relationship between hedonistic, single chef Dori and his employee Nimrod, a family man just trying to get by. Meanwhile, mockumentary-style sitcom Checkout Season 5 (20 x 30), already available exclusively on the platform, returns to fictional Israeli supermarket “Shefa Isaschar” to follow the daily interactions between the store’s workers and their customers. Checkout is created by Yaniv Zohar and Nadav Frishman.

On the Spectrum (10 x 30), due to launch in March, is a comedy drama created by Dana Idisis and Yuval Shafferman that follows three 20-something roommates – all on the autism spectrum – as they share a sheltered apartment and learn to cope with the world around them. The series has collected numerous awards since its launch, including the Grand Prix Prize at Series Mania 2018, Winner of Best International Series at the Seoul Drama Awards, Winner of three Monte-Carlo Golden Nymphs, including Best Comedy, and it also won seven Israeli Academy TV Awards, including Best Series.

Sharon Levi, managing director at yes Studios, commented: “We are thrilled to have extended our important relationship with ChaiFlicks, a platform that does so much to promote the very best Israeli content to its growing audience around the world. Earlier seasons of The Chef and Checkout have proved extremely popular with ChaiFlicks viewers, so the new seasons will readily meet existing demand. We also have every confidence that On the Spectrum, with its endearing characters and unique interpretation of day-to-day life, will quickly prove a massive hit with the streamer’s comedy fans.”

Neil Friedman, Co-Founder of ChaiFlicks added: “As the only streaming platform solely focused on sharing Jewish stories from around the world, our partnership with yes Studios is fundamental to our mission. Their award-winning, high-quality programming represents true gems – allowing us to deliver the richness of the Jewish experience, straight from Israel to audiences worldwide. These three series strongly resonate with our audience, and we look forward to sharing them with our subscribers.”
