KCGM launches Animax, Gem on Malaysia’s Tonton

KC Global Media (KCGM), the Asian entertainment network and multi-channel operator, has announced a deal with Malaysian integrated media and entertainment conglomerate, Media Prima, to bring premium Japanese drama, variety and anime onboard its video streaming app, Tonton.
Through this agreement, more than 400,000 users on Tonton can now access an endless stream of Japanese content through linear and a library of VoD titles available from KCGM’s Japanese anime channel, Animax, and Japanese entertainment channel, Gem. All content from Animax and Gem will be streamed in their original Japanese audio and accompanied with Malay subtitles. Animax and GEM will be available through the platform’s TontonUp premium subscription service, with pricing starting from RM7 per month.
