J:Com ends June with 3.5m subs

Japanese cable operator Jupiter Telecommunications (J:Com) has ended June with a total of 3.52 million households subscribers, up 5.4 per cent year-on-year. Combined revenue generating units (RGUs) for cable television, high-speed Internet access and telephony services reached approximately 6.61 million, up 8.3 per cent from June last year. The bundle ratio (average number of services received per subscribing household) increased to 1.88 from 1.83 a year earlier.
The number of Internet subscribers went up 7 per cent to 1.76 million from 1.64 million a year earlier, while the number of telephony customers grew 12.3 per cent to 2.09 million from 1.86 million. J:Com also had 2.77 million cable TV customers, up 6.1 per cent from 2.61 million in June 2010.
