INTERVIEW: Richard Bullwinkle, Rovi Corp
August 29, 2010
Macrovision was the low profile company whose software protected most of the world’s DVDs from illicit copying. Today it has become Rovi Corporation and, while remaining a dominant force in packaged media protection, it has set its sights on becoming the ultimate guide provider for the multi-channel, multi-platform, ‘my media’, world.
The company’s chief evangelist Richard Bullwinkle came to London from Rovi’s HQ in California to talk to Nick Snow about how Rovi has prepared itself to be the first choice in media guide provision and its major step towards that end: The Liquid Guide.
