Soldi named Interim Chair of BBC Commercial Board

The BBC Board has appointed Marinella Soldi, currently a non-executive director, to the role of Interim Chair of the BBC Commercial Limited Board, effective July 1st. She was first appointed to the Commercial Board as a non-executive director in September 2024 and has served as a member of the main BBC Group Board since September 2023.
The appointment to Interim Chair comes as Sir Damon Buffini stands down as Chair of BBC Commercial and Deputy Chair of the BBC, at the end of his term on June 30th.

Damon has been a strong leader for BBC Commercial and I know that Marinella will continue working to grow the business both in the UK and globally.”
