Wuaki.tv expanding to Italy, Germany, France
June 26, 2014
Streaming service Wuaki.tv is expanding its European footprint to a total of five countries, with planned launches in Germany, France and Italy before the end of the year.
Wuaki said the new launches signalled “the beginning of an aggressive international expansion plan.” The company plans to launch in 11 European countries by the end of 2015 and will hire a larger workforce to drive its expansion plans, it said.
Wuaki went live in Spain in 2010 and in the UK in 2013. The service offers on-demand movie and TVs for rental and purchase, and has deals in place with major studios including Warner Bros, Fox, Disney and HBO.
