Sky Internet TV service Now TV has confirmed it will offer refunds after paying customers faced problems viewing the final fixtures of the Premier League season on May 11th.
Users of the Sky Go online player also faced difficulties as the football season reached its climax, with games including Manchester City versus West Ham and Liverpool taking on Newcastle.
Fans who had paid £9.99 (€12) for a day pass and those who attempted to watch the matches through Sky Go were faced with screens saying the service was unavailable until as late at 82 minutes into the match.
Sky faced a barrage of complaints via social media and later told users on the Now TV community page: “We’ll be contacting all sports pass customers automatically to provide a refund or a replacement pass. You don’t need to do anything to make this happen.”
