Snapchat glasses on sale in UK
June 2, 2017
Video-recording sunglasses from Snap, the company behind social media sharing-app Snapchat, have gone on sale in the UK.
The glasses, priced at £130 (€149) can record up to 10 seconds of footage that can then be sent to the user’s Snapchat account and shared with friends.
The glasses can currently only be purchased by Brits from a vending booth (which the company calls a ‘Snapbot’) positioned next to the London Eye, or ordered online.
Snapbot booths have also been placed in Paris, Berlin, Barcelona and Venice to mark the European launch. Snap said more would appear in other locations in the UK and Europe during the summer.
