Channel 4, Lloyds award 4 Black in Business winners £200,000 in ad airtime

August 5, 2026

Channel 4, in partnership with Lloyds, has announced the four winners of this year’s Black in Business initiative, who will each receive £200,000 in advertising airtime alongside a tailored business support package.

Now in its third iteration, the initiative supports emerging Black-owned businesses by giving each winner the opportunity to bring their brand and business to new audiences through the power of TV advertising.

The winners’ package includes £200,000 of Channel 4 advertising airtime and the creation of a bespoke television campaign created in collaboration with production company Quiet Storm, founded by Trevor Robinson OBE.

It also includes six months of marketing support and business mentoring from Lloyds, providing the expertise, guidance and networks to help the winning businesses continue to grow.

The four winners are:

  • Nala’s baby: a family founded skincare and haircare brand providing natural, scientifically developed products designed for babies and children from newborn through childhood.
  • Borough 22: a London-based bakery producing award-winning gluten-free and plant-based doughnuts and sweet treats, with a focus on inclusive indulgence for people with diverse dietary needs.
  • Mumbrite, powered by The Motherhood Group: a London-based community-driven organisation providing in-person and digital support services for Black mothers and mothers-to-be.
  • Tilz Collection: a Yorkshire-based food and drink company selling gifting products and speciality food items through wholesale and online retail channels.

Sam Hicks, Head of Advertiser Strategy at Channel 4, said: “We’re incredibly proud of this year’s winners. From helping families navigate the early years and supporting Black mothers to creating inclusive treats and curating memorable gifting experiences, these businesses are demonstrating what’s possible when purpose and entrepreneurship come together. They are building loyal communities, driving meaningful impact and telling stories that deserve to be seen. This is what Black in Business is all about, and we’re excited to help these brilliant brands reach millions of viewers through the power of TV advertising. Combined with the expertise and support from Lloyds, we hope this is just the beginning of their next chapter.”

Christopher Remie, Agency Partner at Channel 4, said: “Black in Business shines a light on outstanding founders, giving them the platform, support and visibility to accelerate their growth and share their stories with audiences across the UK. This year’s winners represent a fantastic range of Black-owned businesses making a mark in their industries, each driven by passion and creating meaningful impact in their communities. We’ve seen the difference this initiative can make for growing businesses, and we’re looking forward to working closely with this year’s winners to create campaigns that capture what makes each brand unique and build lasting recognition.”

Amanda Murphy, CEO Lloyds Business & Commercial Banking, commented: “A gluten-free bakery. A baby products brand. A business providing support services for Black mothers and mothers-to-be. A gifting company from Leeds. These four businesses may look very different on paper, but they all have something important in common – the ambition to grow and the determination to make a real impact. Borough 22, Nala’s Baby, Mumbrite, powered by The Motherhood Group, and Tilz Collection are each building something special, and it’s fantastic to see them recognised through this year’s Black in Business programme. By partnering with Channel 4, we’re helping talented entrepreneurs reach wider audiences and unlock new opportunities for growth. Congratulations to our winners, every finalist and everyone who took part. They represent the energy, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit that helps drive the UK’s economy forward.”

Casyo Johnson, Founder of Nala’s Baby, said: “This is so much bigger than advertising. It’s recognition of everything our team has worked so hard to build over the past few years. We’re incredibly grateful to Channel 4 and Lloyds for believing in our vision. We’ll use this opportunity to reach more families, continue raising the bar within our category, and hopefully inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs they are worth backing.”

Ryan Panchoo, Founder of Borough 22, stated: “Being selected as a Black in Business winner is huge validation of how far Borough 22 has come and the difference we’re making for our customers. This is exactly the catalyst we need to build the visibility that lets us reach so many more people who deserve safe, delicious treats.”

Sandra Igwe MBE, Founder and CEO of Mumbrite and The Motherhood Group, said: “Last year, I was proud to be a Black in Business finalist, but I did not make it through as a winner. Being selected this year is a powerful reminder: ‘Let’s not get tired of doing good, because in time, we’ll have a harvest if we don’t give up.’ Well, it’s harvest time! I’m so grateful that Channel 4 and Lloyds could see the vision behind Mumbrite, The Motherhood Group’s purpose-led digital platform. It has been built from ten years of graft, insight, learning and lived experience, with a mission to support the wellbeing of mothers and, in turn, the children and families who depend on them. I am incredibly proud to be a Black in Business winner this year.”

Tayo Adebisi, Founder of Tilz Collection, added: “We’re incredibly proud and honoured to be one of the four businesses selected for Black in Business. This opportunity could transform Tilz Collection from a brand our customers already love into a nationally recognised British gifting brand, while showing other founders that where you start does not have to determine how far you can go.”

The adverts will begin development and filming with Quiet Storm later in 2026 and are set to air on Channel 4 in 2027.

Black in Business helps Black entrepreneurs grow their businesses through the power of TV advertising. Launched in 2023, the initiative is now in its third year and continues to champion Black representation on screen and across the wider television and media industry.
