UK-based CMG Productions has joined forces with Donny Hugo Herran, who will act as the company’s US Production Executive, expanding its strategic support for US studios, streamers and production companies seeking to film, finance and co-produce projects across the UK and Europe.

Based in Los Angeles, Donny will spearhead CMG’s relationships with American studios and producers. Working alongside CMG’s Co-CEOs Rebecca Knight and Claire McArdle, Donny will support across production strategy and co-production partnerships, physical production and post-production, enabling projects to move seamlessly from development through delivery.

The strategic partnership follows Donny’s distinguished career at Paramount Global, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of Production, handling one of the company’s largest premium content portfolios, overseeing domestic and international productions and managing millions in content investment. During his tenure, Donny served as the studio executive production lead for several of Paramount’s highest-profile franchises, including the Taylor Sheridan Universe, one of the company’s most valuable global franchise content portfolios. He played a pivotal role in scaling production operations across North America, Europe, and South America by leveraging international incentives, expanding regional production capabilities, and implementing operational strategies.

Throughout his career, Donny has overseen physical production on more than 100 scripted series, unscripted productions and films, with expertise spanning development, finance, budgeting, scheduling, labour relations, post-production, risk management and international delivery. In 2026, Donny was elected Governor of the Production Executives Peer Group for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, representing production executives across the television industry and helping shape the future of the profession.

Drawing on Co-CEO Rebecca Knight’s extensive experience in structuring and managing international productions, CMG’s strategy spans development, physical production, post-production, and tax incentives. During her tenure as Vice President of Production and Business Affairs at ViacomCBS International for MTV, Comedy Central, and Paramount, Knight oversaw multi-million-pound budgets, negotiated global commercial and talent contracts, and guided international commissions.
