June 11, 2026
Dynamic Television has announced the appointment of acclaimed producer, showrunner and writer Jörg Winger as President of Dynamic Television Germany, with the company also moving forward on Conspiracy, a thriller series now in development with ZDF.
In his new role, Winger will lead the development of both German and international scripted projects out of Germany. He will report to Klaus Zimmermann and Daniel March, Managing Partners of Dynamic Television.
Conspiracy is an original series created by Marco Girnth and Jörg Winger. The project marks an early step in Dynamic’s ambition to build a writer-led slate of premium scripted series and films out of Germany with both local authenticity and international reach.
Winger joins Dynamic Television with an extensive track record of internationally recognised productions. He served as showrunner on the first 200+ episodes of SOKO Leipzig, one of Germany’s most successful one-hour crime series, and is widely known as the co-creator of the critically acclaimed Deutschland 83, Deutschland 86 and Deutschland 89 trilogy, which earned numerous accolades including a Peabody Award, an International Emmy Award and multiple Grimme Awards. His additional credits include HBO Europe’s Hackerville and Disney+’s Sam – A Saxon, both of which also received Grimme recognition, among other honours.
“We are delighted to welcome Jörg to Dynamic Television,” said Klaus Zimmermann. “Jörg is one of the few creative talents in the German TV industry who consistently combines distinctive authorship with broad international appeal. As Dynamic continues to expand its global production activity, his arrival marks an important step in our ambition to build a writer-driven slate of premium series from Germany with both local authenticity and international reach.”
“I’m excited to join the team at Dynamic, an agile, independent and globally minded company with a strong creative vision for both German and international projects,” added Winger. “Klaus, Dan and I share a real belief in building an extremely focused slate we feel genuinely passionate about. In this new era, only the most original voices will stand out enough to capture the attention of audiences facing an ever-increasing abundance of choice. Our combined expertise and our relationships with talent from all over the world will help us create that kind of irresistible entertainment.”
